Kites origniated in the Tang dynasty of China. Many cities in China, there are a lots of interantional countries, also have kite festival. Well, timing is not the same. China’s kite festival, or kite industry zone distribute in Weifang, Wuhan, Yangjiang. Today we’re going to talk about the Kite City-Weifang.
Since the first International Kite Flying Festival in Weifang in 1984, It has been held every year on 20th, April. Then, a large number of Chinese and international experts and kite-flying fans and tourists come. They watch, competition and sightseeing. It is not only a festival to exchange kite skills, but also a good opportunity to learn about the folk culture of kites. The whole festival period is accompained by coloful traditional folk art activities. National Lantern Exhibition, and then under the curtain of night presents a variety of life. National Flame, with its wouderful discharge skills, show the historical drama story scenes. It is very exciting and amazing.
At the kite concert, the stars’ wonderful singing made people intoxicated. Weifang kites have a long history. They are exquisitely made, beautifully shaped, stable and easy to fly. Yangjiabu village, 15kms northeast of Weifang, is the hometown of kite. Yangjiabu kite, work well, drawing surprise, take off high and stable well -known. They devided into string sub-class, board class, 3D class, soft wing, hard wing, and freestyle. It has 6 series, more than 60 varieties. Chinese and international kites from past kite fextivals are on display in the world. A wide range of subjects, a wide variety of patterns, exquisite, different shapes, make people forget to return.
